Such a classy looking piece! I'll begin with everything you need:
1. An elaborate frame
2. Black Paint and gold paint
3. A long piece of wood for a shelf
4. Decorative shelf hangings
5. Buttons
6. Mirror/ mirror piece
I found this fabulous frame for only $2.50 with this terrible painting inside. I painted the inner frame black to add some depth, and painted the outside gold to make the frame look antique. The mirror came from a mirror that had broken off of a door. Around the mirror in the inside I added buttons because the mirror didn't fit exactly. It doesn't have to be buttons though, it can be decorative paper, or even ribbon. I just had buttons handy and didn't want to spend any extra money. The wood shelf I had but nothing to hang it up with. I went to hobby lobby and had good luck! The metal was 50% off that day. So I bought these decorative metal shelf hangings to put underneath the shelf for support. In order for the shelf and the frame to blend together I also painted the shelf black. Then there you have it a classy looking mirror for half the price.
