This is a guest room, and it was terrible! I wouldn't want any guest to even stay in there. It was time to create an inviting place for people to stay in. Firstly getting a fabulous screen which lucky I got for free. I put some antique wallpaper on it and painted the wood black. Any kind of paper or even collage of newspaper/paper/magazine you have would give a great effect. Or if you want to go with the same pattern but in a cheaper way I suggest wrapping paper, but once you glue it on take a razor to it and spray bottle to give it an aged feel. I picked up from Hobby Lobby some trim that was on clearance for the bolt. (still have more than I could ask for) and put it in places to make the screen more dramatic. Also on the ends I put drawer knobs. (also found at Hobby Lobby). Above I hung a wire bird cage that I found at Goodwill for only $1.99. Look around antique shops, Goodwills, and resale shops because I see them all the time. The wire frame 'lady' was a bit of a splurge for me from Marshalls. I paid $38, but it was totally worth it. Now I would put any guest in that bedroom. Heck I wish it was my bedroom!
