This is my next mission! This was on sale for $450 at an art store, and who has that kind of money to spend on a stole (for goodness sakes). I plan to spend at tops maybe $50. Its a wooden stole with beads all over it. I am absolutely in love with it. I'm in the process of collecting beads off the internet because I refuse to spend top dollar.

Craftmanship wasn't the best because I had a frayed paintbrush... but I am too cheap to buy a new one. So rule number one: good paintbrush. Anyways to dress up a boring lamp shade put something fun on it to dress it up. In this case I put a bird on it with black paint. It gives your lamp shade a little more character. Also can suggest a flower or even simple polka-dots.

Flower Arrangement

This has to make my living room for sure! This glass vase which is about 2 feet I got at HomeGoods for $14.99. Where at Pier 1 it is about $39.99. Then I spray painted sticks pink, and silver glitter to add in the center. I also bought huge fake flowers so it can be very dramatic. They were about $4 each at Hobby Lobby. I then got tall fake grass and glued little butterflies throughout most of them. Also makes a very nice cat toy... as my cat likes to paw at the fake grass hanging down

Diva Cat Collar

This isn't the best picture... but I do what I can. I have this diva of a cat. Looks similar to the one on the Fancy Feast commercial. Therefore it was time to give her some bling. (Yes I said bling) First you need a normal regular cat collar stretched out to her size. Then buy some Trim to glue underneath. I got my trim at Hobby Lobby. After I glued the trim on underneath the collar I added pearls that can be found in the scrapbooking section (flat backs to easily glue on) Then placed them all along the top. Finally, to add the diva part, a big rhinestone on top of the buckle. Very easy and simply adorable.

Dramatic and Style in a Vase

My fiance wanted me to add something blue... to feel manly maybe? Anyway I made sure it was small (wasntme) I got this fabulous hand blown glass vase from someplace going out of business. Therefore it was only $5.00. I then added sticks from outside. Painted them white, and on some I added silver glitter and blue glitter. To make a piece more dramatic. Therefore a very cute piece to make my fiance happy!

Great Chair

This is one of my favorite pieces in my house. I picked up this fabulous wicker chair at a garage sale for only $10. The paint was peeling off, which is why the previous owners didn't see its potential. I lightly washed the chair many times to get the peeling paint off. I then spray painted the chair a very light pink color. (Took about three cans). The seat cushion originally was a mustard color. (Which I am not a fan of mustard...but who is?) I then bought a similar shade to the paint and luckily it was on clearance from JoAnn Fabrics. and sewed right over it. Then of course added accent pillows. Which were purchased at Marshalls.

Making an Art Arrangement

I love these paintings! I bought these paintings while I was in France. Its important to frame art that you like and make the art speak for its self. Picking out frames and mats that will accent the look you are going for. I had this fabulous pink-feather wreath that I actually got at Claires (believe it or not, after Christmas so it was 75% off) therefore I picked out pink mats and I got these matching white frames 80% off at Hobby Lobby's clearance section. I made an arrangement for a lasting impression
